Laurence (Lola) Coone BSc (Hons), Dip PSGD - Garden Designer and director

My love of gardening began very early in life, inspired by my parents and grandparents who first showed me the joys of working with plants and the natural world.
After moving to London, I realised that I had two true passions: design and gardening. What I find most rewarding is the dialogue with clients—getting to know them, understanding their needs, and translating their ideas and aspirations into a garden that feels personal and meaningful.
I studied garden design at the Pickard School of Garden Design, located within the Garden Museum in London.
I particularly enjoy sharing seeds from my garden with friends and explaining how nature works. I am always experimenting with propagation techniques and taking cuttings.
One plant that is especially dear to me is a Begonia coccinea grown from a cutting taken from my great-grandmother’s plant in the south of France. It now stands over two metres tall, and its cuttings have been passed on to many close friends.
Gardening is a passion I love to share. It makes me a happier person—and that happiness seems to spread just as quickly as Virginia creeper.
